Highmoon is a small town and fortified keep in the northern quarter of the Haft, one of Keledon's reaches. The town also serves as the seat of the minor House Buran, itself quartered within the town's fortifications.
Highmoon sits on and around a small hill, itself one of the foothills of the Blackfang Mountains. Much of the land to the north, east and west of the town has been cleared to permit farming; south of the hill the steep face of the Blackfangs dominates.
